Are you stressed and tired of doing the same thing and getting the same result? Life gets hard and we need to change our quest in life to meet the changes that occur. I am an Individual, marriage and family Psychotherapist. I work with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, marriage concerns, parenting issues and multicultural issues. Asking for help is hard and can be really difficult for most. Change will not happen without action.  If you do things occasionally, you will occasionally have joy.   I provide a safe space for confidential and stressful issues to be discussed.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed School Counselor.
I am also the owner and CEO of Changes Therapeutics, LLC.  My method of treatment with adults includes using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy approach and prayer. I help you to change your own self identity and self talk. I also work to help you challenge your thoughts, feelings, and core beliefs so that change may occur.
Additionally, I am a certified Crisis Prevention Trainer. I am also trained in the areas of Christian Counseling, Special Education and Childhood Disorders.

As a Professional Counselor, I understand the value of working towards a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual balance. Tough seasons are bound to come whether we'd like them to or not, but the focus can't solely be on the effects of the storm, but recognizing the inner strength one possesses inside to keep going. In time, this is something I have grown to better understand in my field of work as well as in my own personal journey. My therapeutic approach will be to aid you in realizing what you truly possess inside as well. Techniques that I utilize within my practice include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Person-Centered, Rational Emotive, Strength-Based, as well as Wellness Coaching and goal development.

My experience includes working predominantly with teens, adolescents, young adults/adults facing life transitions, anxiety, depression, displacement/homelessness, grief, body image, self concept, and more. Additionally, I have served as a certified school counselor where I have supported students and families with school related issues, navigating community supports, and preparation with post-high school transition.

Remember, that your story can be whatever you choose it to be. Your circumstances do not define who you are or what you will become. I would be excited and honored to join you on this journey towards a new day and a brighter perspective.

There comes a time in our life when we all can use support and guidance. Whether you are going through a simple change in your life or managing a major traumatic experience, I can help you overcome the anxiety, fear, depression or anger that can accompany life’s obstacles.  I am a trained educator and certified administrator with over 30 years of experience helping groups and individuals set and achieve positive goals for change.

I specialize in presenting both locally and nationally to organizations that are seeking institutional change.  I can provide guidance on topics such as overcoming trauma, dealing with stress in the workplace, building cohesive teams, implementing equitable practices, understanding the teenage brain, managing family dynamics, and mediating/resolving conflict.  I can also provide tailor-fitted workshops based on your organization’s needs.

I am a trained life-coach who works with individuals to better their self-image and attain productive life-goals.  I like to help people see that real change starts within, and acknowledgement of your self-worth is instrumental in overcoming any extrinsic barriers that life has to offer.

No one's meant to go through life alone. Seeking support when it comes to navigating life’s obstacles is the best decision you can make for yourself. I want to be a part of your healing journey. As a school and professional counselor, my philosophy is to ensure that not only the mental health of a person is taken care of, but that the physical and spiritual being is being taken care of as well. As a counselor, I strive to make sure that I am placing my own feelings, opinions and bias aside while ensuring that I am fully listening and engaging in the wellness of each of my clients. I believe that it is crucial to establish a repertoire and relationship with my clients to set a relaxed, safe, confidential, and caring environment. I work with youth (6-12 years) and adults (individual and group counseling). I am committed to helping adults and children cope with life trials and troubles while helping them understand that there is someone that cares for them and wants the best for them.

My best practices are helping clients become more self-aware, identifying patterns of self behaviors that influence life choices, and equipping clients with skills and tools to help them be more successful in their life. My approach to treatment includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused-Brief Therapy, Play Therapy, and Reality Therapy. As a counselor, I want to help others see that no matter how rough their situation looks, they may not be able to change their situation but they can control how the situation affects them and how they respond to the storms of life. Healing is a choice. Healing takes time and persistence to turn around habits but, when you keep choosing to put in the work, healing finds you. I’m excited to be a part of your healing journey.
